Rowlett, Texas
Rowlett is situated on Lake Ray Hubbard in Northeast Dallas County,
approximately twenty miles from downtown Dallas. Located just north of
Interstate Highway 30, the city is conveniently located to much of the shopping
and entertainment in the Dallas, Fort Worth, and Rockwall communities. However,
Rowlett offers and escape to the quiet, relaxed atmosphere of lakeside living.
As one of the top ten Metroplex cities showing the largest population and
housing growth rates, the city of Rowlett is still able to offer a subdued
lakeside living atmosphere. Rowlett is served by the Garland Independent School

Rockwall, Texas
Rockwall is situated on Lake Ray Hubbard and is approximately 22
miles east of downtown Dallas on Interstate 30. Rockwall residents have the
advantage of being near the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, without loosing its
rural atmosphere. Rockwall proudly maintains one of the highest-ranking school
systems and one of the lowest tax rates within the State of Texas. Rockwall is
served by the Garland Independent School District for those that live in Dallas
County, and the Rockwall School District for those that live in Rockwall
County.
Royse City, Texas
Royse City
is located just minutes from Lake Ray Hubbard and Lake Lavon approximately 20
miles northeast of downtown Dallas on Highway 78; 3 miles north of Highway 190,
which provides quick and easy access to Plano, Richardson, Garland, North
Dallas, and Central Expressway. Royse City is a very quiet town with approximately
7,600 residents and is projected to reach 10,000 in the year 2000. Because of
its close proximity, Royse City has quick access to all cultural activities in the
Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, including museums, theater, and historical
attractions. Royse City is served by the Garland and Wylie Independent School
Districts. Students living in Dallas County attend Garland Schools, and those
living in Collin County attend Wylie Schools.
